Do you want to be involved in something new? Do you want to help make a difference in the lives of people living in landmine-affected countries? If so, read on….

Standing Tall Australia is a not-for-profit non governmental organisation, run by volunteers, and established with five main aims:

  • To provide high quality research on issues relating to all persons with disabilities, including landmine survivors;
  • To provide high quality research on issues relating to landmines and other explosive remnants of war (ERW);
  • To raise awareness within the Australian population on issues relating to landmines, ERW, and persons with disabilities;
  • To identify, support, and collaborate with, other non government organisations working on issues relating to landmines and persons with disabilities, both in Australia and internationally;
  • To promote the total rehabilitation and socio-economic reintegration of persons with disabilities into their communities.

Standing Tall Australia is a member of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines ( www.icbl.org), co-recipients of the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize.

The directors of S.T.A.I.R.R.S.S. Ltd invite you to become a member. For a A$10-00 joining fee plus a A$10-00 annual subscription you will not only be a part of this young growing organisation but you will be kept informed on issues relating to landmines and disability, particularly relating to mine survivors, worldwide.
