 Mission Statement

The mission of Standing Tall Australia is to make a positive difference in the lives of people living in mine-affected communities through research and assistance to raise awareness and to promote the physical rehabilitation and socio-economic reintegration of mine survivors, and other people with a disability.

Objectives  

To achieve its mission Standing Tall Australia was established with five main aims:

  1. To provide high quality research on issues relating to all persons with disabilities, including landmine survivors;
  2. To provide high quality research on issues relating to landmines and other explosive remnants of war (ERW);
  3. To raise awareness within the Australian population on issues relating to landmines, ERW, and persons with disabilities;
  4. To identify, support, and collaborate with, other non government organisations working on issues relating to landmines and persons with disabilities, both in Australia and internationally;
  5. To promote the total rehabilitation and socio-economic reintegration of persons with disabilities into their communities.
